Please see below a list of commonly asked questions about the parenting retreat camp.

Q: What will I learn at this retreat?

A: Watch Vivekji talk about the retreat here.

Vivek ji will be covering Chapter 14 of the Bhagavad Gita on gunas and how to bring about a balance into our parenting techniques.
Vilasini ji will teach skills on how to engage cooperation without punishment, how to help kids manage negative emotions, and how to create a more Sattvic home!

Q: I am really interested in attending the camp, but my children are very young. Are there any accommodations for young children at the camp?

A: We will provide a concurrent program for children 3 years (must be potty trained) to 12 years of age. Since our child care team is completely volunteer based, we request that parents of really young children be available to spend some time with their kids during the camp, so they are more comfortable.

Q: My Child(ren) is younger than 3 or is not potty trained for the child care provided. What are my options?

A: We recommend one parent attending the retreat and share the knowledge with the other.

Q: I will be coming from out of state for the retreat, are there any plans for providing accommodations?

A: We will be providing host families for out of state participants, but these will be provided on a first come first serve basis, so the sooner you register we can accommodate this request. Please contact us at parentingretreat2018@chinmayasomnath.org, as soon as you register so we can help you find a host family.
