She placed 6th in Padutha Theeyaga, a televised, prestigious Indian national singing competition in the Telugu language, held in USA (2015) and also won a number of other competitions.
She was also invited twice to the Embassy of India in Washington DC, to represent Chinmaya Mission as a guest singer. Krishnapriya started this music class in 2016, and is continuing it this year. Through this class, she also trains many local kids to participate in the annual Thyagaraja and Purandaradasa Aradhana organized by our Chinmaya Mission chapter. She created this class to give everyone an opportunity to learn popular Indian bhajans and classical kirtans and to appreciate and continue the rich musical heritage of India.
