2022 Maha Shivaratri Program Details
We invite you to join us as we celebrate Maha-Shivaratri at Chinmaya Somnath, starting early evening on Monday, February 28, through early dawn on Tuesday, March 1st. The program will be online via Zoom and is open to everyone, including Non-Members.
Puja & Archana Sponsorship Details:
Our devotees have the following opportunities for Maha-Shivaratri Puja sponsorship. For each of the sponsor devotees, we will perform sankalpa prior to the Puja and offer vibhooti and prasad to the patrons after Maha-Shivaratri Puja.
Note: Only the Puja team will be allowed into the auditorium/temple; everyone will be able to watch the Puja online through the night.
- 1st Kala Mahanyasa-purvaka Ekavara Rudrabhisheka Puja
- 1st Kala Ekavara Rudrabhisheka, Paduka Puja & Pushpa-Archana
- 3rd Kala Ekavara Rudrabhisheka, Paduka Puja & Bilva-Archana
- Mahashivaratri Grand Sponsor (All 4 Kalas)
When you sign-up for Puja or Archana sponsorship, you may optionally enter your family Gothram, your name, and Nakshatra. You can enter your family members’ names (up to 4 members) and their Nakshatra.
Sign Up for personal Abhishekam:
Our devotees have an opportunity to perform Personal Abhishekam at Chinmaya Somnath (on-premise) on Maha Shivaratri, Monday, February 28th between 4:00 pm and midnight. Only the devotees who have registered and have signed up for the personal abhishekam are permitted into the building strictly within the registered time slot to help maintain CDC guidelines and social distancing.
