Study Vivekacūḍāmaṇi with Swami Dheerananda

Vivekacūḍāmaṇi is a garland of poetic verses, a glorious work of Sri Adi Shankaracharya, guiding a student of Vedanta towards a correct understanding of the nature of the subjective and objective aspects of the human experience.

Ensure you have the Vivekacūḍāmaṇi text and a Japa Mālā with you.
If you do not have the book, you may purchase it at your center’s bookstore or online here.
Be in a quiet space during the class.
Log into Zoom by 6:55 PM.
The class sequence is as follows:
i. Vedic Arati and Chinmaya Arati
ii. Om Namah Shivaya Japa
iii. Meditation Verses from Vivekacūḍāmaṇi
iv. Reflections by Students or Gurudev’s 108 Names Japa
v. Announcements (if any)
vi. Gurudev’s Gita365
vii. Vivekacūḍāmaṇi class
If you are unable to join the class at the suggested time of 6:55 PM, kindly log into Zoom BEFORE Gita365 begins. Admission into the class will be closed when Gita365 begins (~ 7:11 PM).
i. If you are unable to join the live class, you may watch the recording of the class here. The class video will be uploaded within three to four days after the class.
ii. If you get disconnected from Zoom during the class and are unable to rejoin, you may watch the recording of the class here.
Follow our class Zoom etiquette.
i. Swamiji requests all students to have cameras on, with your head and heart visible on camera.
ii. Attendees who do not have their head and heart displayed will be removed from the Zoom meeting for the day. If you are removed from class, you may watch the class recording here. The class video will be uploaded within three to four days after the class.
iii. Swamiji requests students that wish to join without their video on to email thursdayclass@chinmayadc.org explaining why they cannot have their video on. Only then will the student be allowed to attend class with their video off.
iv. Attendees will be automatically muted upon joining to facilitate the flow of the class.
v. Questions will be addressed by Swamiji at the end of the class.

i. You may sign up here to chant the meditation verses from Vivekacūḍāmaṇi, or/and to share your reflections drawing inspiration from Gurudev’s Gita365, any verse from Vivekacūḍāmaṇi or any glory of Gurudev (Śrī Chinmaya Aṣṭottara Śata Nāmāvaliḥ).
ii. If you are chanting the meditation verse or sharing your reflections, please join the class by 6:40 PM. More details and a reminder will be provided to chanters and reflectors closer to their slot(s).
